Meet Dre

Meet DreI’m a straight shooting, wine guzzling, shoe hoarding, sassy Italian, born and raised in California whose favorite word starts with an F and rhymes with “tuck”. There’s not much I won’t say or do for a laugh, even if (and it usually is) it’s at my expense. I’ve spent most of my life pinging and ponging between the black and the white, searching for that perfect shade of grey.

These days, I’ve come to accept….NO, more like celebrate, my 50 shades of awesome bat shit crazy.

So far it’s been a hell of a journey. I’ve been humbled by the fails and inspired by the successes. I’ve laughed from my belly and cried from my soul. I’ve been paralyzed by fear and soared from courage. I’ve lost things I loved and gained things I hate.

It’s the good, the bad and the ugly that got me where I am today, and I quite like where and WHO I am today. It’s this secret sauce that makes up the unique and intricate recipe that culminated inside me and ultimately led me to create The Branded Solopreneur.

More on that in a minute, but first a quick story.

You’d never guess from the frequent “did she really just say that” moments that riddle my day but I was painfully (and I mean PAINFULLY) shy as a kid. In fact, I think the Census Bureau simply counted me as an appendage on my mother’s ass until I was 11 years old. I can even tell you the day that it all changed, it was September 7, 1990. My 11th birthday.

We were in the mountains for our annual Labor Day Weekend with family friends when a game of tying each other’s shoelaces ensued. One of our family friends kept tying mine together when I wasn’t looking. After a day of falling on my face I grew frustrated. It was at that exact moment that the world would first hear my voice. By the time we returned home that weekend I was a sassy, opinionated hellion that couldn’t be shushed.

I tell you this because that’s where The Branded Solopreneur story starts. Where my story as a visual strategist begins. See, throughout that decade of self imposed silence I relied heavily on visual ways of expressing myself.  I was the kid that literally couldn’t/wouldn’t use my words, so I relied heavily on visual self expression to convey my thoughts and feelings.

You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words?

I beg to differ! I believe visuals flat out speak louder than words.

I believe visuals are the least inhibited way we have to communicate.
I believe visuals are the purist way to convey our messages to others.
I believe visuals are the MOST powerful expressions of our voice.

With the fast paced, social and “bright light” ridden world we live in today and our increasingly short attention spans it has become crucial to leverage visuals to get our voices heard.

As solopreneurs it’s not just nice to have our voices heard, it’s vital IF we want to get our message out there in the world and do the work we are called to do as entrepreneurs.

The Branded Solopreneur is a “we” space!

My mission {and I do choose to accept it!} is to help solo-entrepreneurs, just like you and me, create a vision for their voice. I know the power of visuals and I want to impart that power to you. I want to help you brand your business like a boss and profit from the work you love to do. I want to help you create visuals that convey your passion and purpose, your message, your mission, your voice. I want your visuals to speak loudly and proudly to those that need to hear your voice. I want your visuals to propel your brand!

These are all the things that drive my work these days. Soooo, if you’re ready to leverage the power of visuals to brand your business and tap into your inner unicorn join The Branded Solopreneur Society so we can get sh*t done! It’s your right to be heard and I can help you do just that!

From the shy girl who wouldn’t talk, to the woman who roars loudly and proudly…I’m excited to lead this visual revolution side by side with you!
